Charles Allen McCall of Balsam Grove passed away Thursday March 12, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy (aka Kat) McCall; his daughter Michelle Hogan and husband Dave; son Charley McCall, Jr and wife Melissa McCall; daughter Teri S. Wilkerson; step son Shannon Franks and wife Frances Franks; and preceded in death by daughter Jeri Wilkerson. Family includes nephew Julius McCall and wife Kimberly McCall; 16 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
Charlie did not know a stranger and was a friend to many many people. He worked in construction for many years then went to work at Interrail Transport where he worked for 10 years before retiring and returning to Balsam Grove to the place where he was born and raised. He was a jack of all trades and loved to help everyone who came with something that was broke or needed something hauled. Whatever anyone needed he usually had advice on how to fix it or would do it himself for them. He had many special friends that came around often during his last days when he wanted to keep working and wasn't able; with their help he always succeeded in getting the job done. A Special Thank you Mark Laudermilk; Daniel Owen; Jadon Barron, Buddy McCall; Daniel Wilkersham which built his ramp and Amy & Jimmy Briggs for building his accessible shower for his return home which he will not be able to use in his earthly home for he has gone to his eternal home. His 2 precious dogs Nick & Maggie will miss him very much. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Sunday March 15, 2026 from 2 pm to 4 pm with services at 4 pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Pastor David Perry of God's Way Church will be presiding.
