Obituary

Charles Logan Ayers passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. He was born in 1935 to the late Ticie and Eva Phillips Ayers. He is survived by his wife Eunice McCall Ayers, one daughter Sonia Ayers Galloway and husband Michael; one son, Alan Williams and wife Wendie; five wonderful grandchildren, Samuel, Michelle, Eva, Jessica, Zach and two great grandchildren; three sisters, Jewel Ayers Hightower(Ralph), Shirley Ayers, Ellen Faye "Cissy" Ayers; one brother, Ray "Buddy" Ayers(Sandy); many nieces and nephews; one goddaughter, Letty Chieu and all of those he considered family at Twin Dragons. He was preceded in death by one son, Bryan Williams; four sisters, Rosie Powell, Norma Galloway, Elaine Raines and Carolyn Ayers; two brothers, Ticie Ayers Jr and Earl Ayers. He was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church where at one time he served as Lay Leader and Sunday School teacher for the youth. He was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne, after which he worked 45 years and retired from Ecusta Paper Corporation. He loved the mountains, streams and all God's creatures that lived there. A memorial service will be held at St. Timothy United Methodist Church on Saturday March 14, 2015 at 2pm. Rev. Shelly Webb and Pastor Ann Duncan will be conducting the service.
