Charles Robert "Bob" Landreth, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2018. Bob was born on July 12, 1937 in Transylvania County, NC to the late Nin and Addie McCrary Landreth. He is also preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters. He was a current member of Calvary Baptist Mission Church. Bob worked for Olin/Ecusta for over 45 years until his retirement. He was well known as the author of several Gospel Music songs and traveled singing with his family for many years. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Nelda Jane Capps Landreth; his four children, son, Robert Keith Landreth and wife Sandra, twin daughters, Karon E. Goolsby and husband Jeff and Sharon D. Tilson and husband Donald, son, Eric L. Landreth and wife Terry; seven grandsons, Shawn, Kaleb, Eli, Isaiah, Zebulun, Dustin and Cody; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Landreth; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Mission. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
