Charles M. McCall Lake Toxaway – Charles M. McCall, 72 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 29, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Hayden and Josie Reynolds McCall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Briscoe Reynolds. Charles was an avid woodworker, gardener and cook. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially walking. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He had a close relationship with the congregation of Selica United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Surviving are his wife of 51 years; Sharon C. McCall, son; Chip McCall of Lake Toxaway, daughter; Fena Daves and husband Keith of Cathey's Creek, brother; Earl McCall and wife Nevelyn of Mills River, grandchildren; Keith Daves, Jr., Clay and Cory Daves, one great grandchild; Walker, nephew; Patrick McCall and several nieces. In addition to flowers, contributions may be made to Transylvania Hospice Foundation, PO Box 2440, Brevard, NC 28712. Funeral services will be held 1pm, Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Ann Self officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
