Charles William Morgan, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 27, 2015. A native of Transylvania County he was the son of the late Otis Julian Morgan and Ada Smith Morgan. He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Dennis Morgan, brothers, Clyde, Alonzo, Malvern Sr., Glenn, Raynal, Juney and Bruce Morgan, and a sister, Clara Owens. Mr. Morgan was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and he was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired after over 40 years of service from Ecusta Corp. and he worked very hard to provide for his family. Mr. Morgan enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Molly Killian Morgan; daughter, Janet Macherzak and husband Samuel of Tucson, AZ; sons, Stephen G. Morgan of Leicester and Kevin Morgan and wife Treva of Blantyre; brother, Gaynard Morgan and wife Pat of Blantyre; sister, Emily Osteen of Henderson County; grandchildren, Jonathan Morgan and wife Sarah, Gregory Morgan and wife Anna and Jordon Morgan; great-grandchildren, Rowyn and Gabriel Morgan. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 5, 2015 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Morgan and Rev. Claude Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to The Elizabeth House, 581 S.
