Brevard - Charles Kenneth (Kenny) Pierson went to heaven to be with his Momma and Daddy on Saturday February 15, 2014. He passed peacefully in his sleep shortly after he informed the nurse he was going to heaven and she could not stop him. Kenny was 57 years old and a native of Transylvania County. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Charles Henry Pierson and Patricia Guffey Pierson of Brevard and his brother Terry Pierson. He is survived by his brother Jeff Pierson of Hendersonville and his children Ben, Kelli and Haley, his brother Randy Pierson of Jackson, TN and his wife Susan Smart Pierson and their children Erin, Lindsay, Gordon, Thomas, Claire and Maggie, and his brother Jud Pierson of Hendersonville and his wife Meghan Joyce Pierson and their children Graham, Collin, Jamin, Sawyer, Spencer and Lilly, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins on the Pierson and Guffey side. In his final words to the family he expressed his heartfelt love for us. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am Monday, February 17, 2014 at Bethany Baptist Church with funeral services following at 11:00 am. Services will be officiated by the Rev. Randy Pierson. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Cedar Mountain.
