Charles Henry Stepp, 92 years of age, heard the golden bells ringing and went to his heavenly home, on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
He was a son of the late Corine Sentelle Burns and Claude Stepp. In addition, to his parents, he was preceded in death by his half-sister Angelyn Davenport and his stepson Billy Forrest Keever, Jr.
Charlie grew up in Brevard, NC, he was hard of hearing and learned to read lips at a young age. He graduated from Brevard High School and earned a degree in Diesel Mechanics in Tennessee. He had a lifelong career with Hendersonville General Electric, where he worked until his retirement.
He was an avid hunter of both turkey and deer, as well as a fisherman. He had a passion for the outdoors and wildlife. In his later years, he enjoyed tying flies for friends and family.
Charlie was a wonderful husband, and was devoted to his family, as well as his blended family. Charlie faithfully walked with the Lord for the entirety of his life. He was a member of Middle Fork Baptist Church where he sang in the choir.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sylvia Case Keever Stepp; son Tony Stepp (Marla); daughter Carlene Stepp Fisher (Dean); stepdaughter Lystra Keever; stepdaughter Christy Galloway (Mark); grandchildren and great grandchildren; half-brother Clarence D. (Bud) Burns (Linda), as well as, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pardee Hospital, and The Oaks for their compassionate care. A special thanks to Dr. Eric Byrd for his tender and utmost care.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middle Fork Baptist Church.
