Charles Michael Tinsley, 64 Charles Michael Tinsley of Flat Rock, N.C. departed this life on August 4th, 2010. He was released from his courageous battle with cancer while surrounded by family in his home. He was the son of the late Charles Elliot Tinsley and Ethel Sarah Hubbard. He was born in Brevard, N.C. and resided in Henderson County from the time he was fourteen. He was a licensed general contractor and home inspector who owned and operated Tinsley Custom Builders Incorporated and Home Check. He and his wife, Sandy, built and operated Rutledge Lake RV Park until 2008. He was a faithful servant of Dunn's Creek Baptist Church in Brevard and enjoyed sharing his life stories with anyone he met. He was devoted to his family and everyone he met quickly became a friend and a fan of his infectious laugh. He is survived by his wife Sandra Wyles Tinsley; three sons, Scott Tinsley and wife Lisa of Hendersonville, Michael Tinsley and wife Christy of Fairview and Jason Wyles and wife Janice of Arden; two daughters, Glenda Lance and husband Jeff of Brevard and Tayna Cagle of Baton Rouge, LA.; one brother, David Tinsley of Camden, S.C. and fourteen grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at Mud Creek Baptist Church in Hendersonville on Sunday, August 8th. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. and a service commemorating his life will be held at 6:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at Dunn's Creek Baptist Church on Monday, August 9th.
