Mr. Christopher Mark Grimshawe, age 60, of Sapphire, NC died on Friday, February 26, 2016, at his home. Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard, NC. Mr. Grimshawe was born December 19, 1955 in Ozark, AL to the late Richard Holt Grimshawe and Rebecca Doe Grimshawe. At the age of 15, Mr. Grimshawe earned the highest ranks in Boy Scouting: Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow and God and Country. He began his career with WKMX radio station in Enterprise, AL. Upon moving to Montgomery, he joined the WSFA-TV news team as a field reporter. His affiliation with local politicians lead him to being named press secretary and commissioned an Honorary Alabama Colonel during the Folsom administration. Later in his career he focused on marketing and public relations. Mr. Grimshawe is survived by two sons; Christopher Jarrod Grimshawe and his wife, Jennifer of Duluth, GA and Brandon Smith Grimshawe and his wife, Jenny of Erie, PA, two daughters; Mallory Grimshawe Michaelson and her husband, Nick, and Christen Grimshawe Lavecchia and her husband, Mitch, both of Montgomery, AL, one sister; Nancy "Noni" Grimshawe Dunn and her husband Marty of Enterprise, AL, three grandchildren; Emery Lavecchia, William Grimshawe, and Amelia Michaelson.
