Christopher Michael Shook, 42, got called from “his mountain” on November 1, 2026. Born January 3, 1984, Chris spent the better part of his life marching to the beat of his own drum. With his trusty side kick Lil Bit of course. His love for his dog, family, and friends was profound. He was free spirited and full of life. He enjoyed the company of his many friends who all called him Shook. It was said that when it came to Shook, every time you were around him, he left you with something to talk about. Indeed he did!

He is survived by his mother Cindy Anders (Kenneth-deceased) and his father Brian Shook; his siblings Matt Brown and Jennifer Morgan (Michael); his aunts and uncles Eddie and Sherry Reece, Sissy Shook, and Jesse Shook; his grandparents Glennon and Juanita Shook and Donna Maney; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his sister Jessica Morgan, his uncle Adam Shook, and grandparents.

A graveside service will be held at Anders Cemetery in Lake Toxaway on Monday November 9, 2026 at 2pm. Family and friends are invited to attend.
