Clara Louise McCall, 84, of Balsam Grove passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 8th.

She was the daughter of the late Elzie & Sonora McCall. She was married for 67 years to Rev. William Daniel "Dan" McCall who preceded her in death a few minutes earlier.

She is survived by her daughter, Melodie Lee, daughter-in-law, Melaney Owen McCall of Balsam Grove, granddaughters,  Audria Lance & husband Blake of Silversteen, Erica McCall of Balsam Grove, great granddaughters, Riley Aiken & Fayelee Lance, sister-in-law, Doris Owen of Balsam Grove, 3 nieces, 5 nephews & extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Brian McCall, son-in-law, Bill Lee, sisters, Opal Chastain, Ola Hall, Willow Mae Perry & Della Aiken, brother-in-laws, Cleamon Owen, T.R. Chastain, Rev. Carmel Hall, Rev. Charles Perry & Roy Aiken.

She served her Lord by being a caring pastor's wife, teaching Sunday school classes, songs to children at Bible school, being the church pianist, teaching several how to play the piano & playing and singing as a family group with her husband & daughter. She loved music. She played and sung by both reading the shaped note music and by ear. She loved to teach anyone, young or old, her God given talent.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 1pm at Woods Memorial Baptist Church in Balsam Grove. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Rev. Benson Galloway & Rev. Roger Massey presiding. Burial will be at Shoal Creek Baptist Church cemetery with Rev Davis Owen presiding.
