Bruce Newman, age 60, of Cedar Mountain died Sunday June 26, 2011 at his residence. He was born December 31, 1950 in Columbia SC to the late Clarence Bruce Newman Sr. and Doris Busbee Sweat of Summerville SC. Mr. Newman was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and owner operator of a plumbing company. Survivors include one son; Christopher Bruce Newman of Cedar Mountain, two daughters; Stacey Louise Newman of Bakersfield NC and Shenell Elaine Nelson of Canton, Step mother Hazel Newman of Clyde NC, one sister; Cheryl Young of Summerville SC five grandchildren and Janice Newman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday July 1, 2011 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Terry Whitesides. The family will receive friends following the service. Moody-Connolly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
