After being honorably discharged from the military to care for his mother in1967 following the death of his father, Clifton went on to work as a letter carrier for the United States Post Office. The Lord called Clifton to preach in 1981 and he moved his family to Greenville, SC to attend Bible college.
In 1992, Clifton and Mary answered the call to be missionaries to North Dakota where Clifton was first stationed in the air force, and they were blessed to minister in ND for 9 years.
Clifton was a member of Progress Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC. Clifton loved the Lord, his family and missions. He was blessed, recently, to learn that one of his grandsons had answered the call to missions. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers donations be made to his grandson's family for their mission work. All donations should be made out and sent to Progress Baptist Church (1935 N. Rugby Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28791) clearly marked for Anthony & April Agan.
