Clyde Theodore Sorrells, Sr., went to be with his Lord on Thursday, February 25, 2010. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Betty McDaniel and Joyce Strickland, and 2 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Maxine Sorrells; his daughters, Helen Fisher and husband Kenneth, Dottie Scott, Becky Wykle and husband Larry; sons, Clyde Sorrells, Jr. and wife Rosemary, and Tommy Sorrells; four brothers, John, Moby, Jim, and Earl; foster brother, Howard Mooney; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Brickhouse officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Friday, February 26, at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
