Coy Fidila Holden, age 87, of Pisgah Forest, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a native of Transylvania County. He was also a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church. He was the son of the late, Wesley C. and Luida Wilson Holden. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Esther Bailey Holden and son Jacob Lee Von Bailey. Three brothers, Hubert Holden, Eddie Holden, and Edgar Holden and one sister Clair Banks. He is survived by son Wesley Holden and wife Lori of Pisgah Forest, NC. Two Daughters Ms. Barbara Ledbetter of Hendersonville, NC and Mrs. Pat Owen and husband Robert of Brevard. One sister Mrs. Helen Barton of Hendersonville, and seven grandchildren and one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Dunn's Creek Cemetery with military graveside rights conducted by The Honor Guard for Transylvania County Veterans. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1:45 PM prior to the funeral service. Moody-Connolly Funeral Home of Brevard is caring for the family.
