Mrs. Coy Willix Medling of Brevard passed away on Wednesday March 7, 2012 at the Oaks of Brevard. She was born in Jackson County to the late Lee Phillips and Debra Matthews Phillips. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. Mrs. Medling worked as a sales clerk at Belks department store. She is survived by two sons, Robert Willix of Brevard and Tommy Lee Willix of Pisgah Forest. She is also survived by three grandsons, Terry, Scott, and Chris Willix and two great grandsons, Josh and Matt Willix. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday March 10, 2012 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
