Cynthia (Cindy) of Lake Toxaway, NC passed away suddenly on February 13, 2021 at the age of 55.
She was born in Canadian Hospital in Canadian, Texas on March 12, 1965. She was the beloved youngest daughter of seven children of the late Dan Howard and Anna Kehoe Vial.
She was the loving wife of Conrad Mercure who she married at St. Michael's Church in Ridge, MD on December 23, 1994.
Survivors include her children Autum Rhea Owen (Wade) of Brevard, NC., Patrick Erin Gray (Choena) of Penrose, NC, stepchildren, Conrad Mercure, Jr of lake Toxaway, Tammy Mercure of Andersen, SC and seven grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings Theresa Ann Vial of Waldorf, MD, Victoria Louise Stocker (William) of Canyon, TX, Dan Howard Vial (Kathleen) of Boerne, TX, Robert Marion Vial (Myra) of Rosman, NC, Michelle Maria Sack of Waldorf, MD. She was preceded in death by her brother Jacques Leon Vial of Newark, DE.
Cindy graduated in 1983 from Great Mills High School in Great Mills, MD and went on to attend the College of Southern Maryland. She held various contractor positions supporting the naval base in Patuxent River, MD until she and her husband re-located their family to North Carolina.
She was known for her love of family and especially her grandbabies, Lily, Briar, Astoria, Baileigh and step-grandbabies Kylie, Dixie, and Emery. Her family deeply loved her. She was always doing something to make their lives better, especially her husband's. Cindy always supported whatever idea he had with a smile and total commitment. She loved to cook and enjoyed weekly dinners with her family.
She worked at her husband's side in their business, Conrad's Electrical Service, maintaining the business operations as well as hands on electrical work. She was very fond of her pets and farm animals and she and her husband worked hard to keep up their "critters". She leaves a huge void in the lives of her family and their only solace is that she is now in God's loving hands and their Guardian Angel above.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
