Dana Susan Powell, 77, of Rosman, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.  A lifelong resident of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of Leason Mack Powell and Mamie "Esther" Butler Powell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Stewart, and a brother, Danny Powell.

Dana always had a childlike spirit.  She enjoyed singing, coloring, and spending time with her family and pets.  She especially liked celebrations and playing games.  She had no children of her own, but one of her greatest joys was being an aunt.

She is survived by a sister, Roberta Mizell, and a brother, Bobby Powell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Middlefork/Galloway Cemetery in Rosman.  Reverend Steven Fanning will officiate.
