Daniel Peter Hoskyns Brevard – Daniel Peter Hoskyns, 54, passed away on September 24, 2013. He was the son of the late Vincent and Ethel Conklin Hoskyns. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Janice Conklin and Vincent Hoskyns. Daniel was well loved by the entire Transylvania County community and a proud employee of the Brevard Music Center for 23 years. He coached many T-ball, baseball and softball teams throughout the Transylvania community. He attended Cathey's Creek Baptist Church. Danny's grandchildren were his life. Surviving are his wife Deborah Hoskyns of Brevard, children; Colby Hosykyns and Kyle Hoskyns, Sawyer Kitchen and Tray Kitchen, and Tonya Middleton, sister; Judy Hoskyns, grandchildren; Scarlett Hoskyns and Kharma Kitchen, Bryson Hoskyns, Colton Hoskyns, Hunter Davis, and Hannah Davis; several nieces and nephews and close family member, Leigh Anna Stewart. The memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Cathey's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Aiken officiating. The family will receive friends from 12noon to 2pm at the church In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moody-Connolly Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
