Brevard - Daniel "Lane" McCall, age 23, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021. Lane is the son of Scotty Lee McCall of Balsam Grove and Jamie Lee Owen of Brevard He is now in the sun that his loved ones wake up to each morning. The Lord wanted another angel to be with Him so he called him home. He will be loved and missed everyday. Lane enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Even through enduring his hardships, he always wore a smile on his face. He will be remembered for riding his motorcycle through the mountains of western NC. In addition to his parents, survivors include son, Daniel Aiden McCall and Daniel Aiden McCall's mother, Annika Mahlum, sisters, Candace Renee Bowen of New Hampshire and Dixie Mae Bailey of Brevard, brothers, Rylan Ty Bailey, Wyatt Cole Owen, Charlie Blackwell, Chris Blackwell and Taylor McCall all of Balsam Grove, grandparents, Dennis and Susie McCall of Balsam Grove and Lola Crane Owen of Brevard and Jimmy Owen of Rosman. A graveside service will be held 2pm, Friday, January 29, 2021 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Please bring a green helium balloon to be released after the service.
