Pisgah Forest - Darlene Lavonne Goodson peacefully passed away on January 20, 2024 at the age of 88.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Gladys Bowers, husband, Claude Goodson, brothers, Larry Bowers, Lloyd and Harry Grimsey and sister Donna Warwick.

Survivors include her daughter Linda (Jeffery) Hargus of Rock Hill, sons,  James Goodson (Debbie) of Myrtle Beach, Mark Goodson (Becky) of Pisgah Forest, sisters, Betty Jeidy and Shirley Beechen and  brother,  Johnny Bowers, grandchildren,  Allison Owen of Maggie Valley, Corey Hargus of Charlotte, Leslie Capps Black Mountain, Grayson Goodson Pisgah Forest, great grandchildren,  Malik Hyatt, Hayden Hyatt, Alexis Hyatt, Lawson Edmonds and Callie Hargus and  one great great grandchild, Milo Armabula.

Funeral services will be held 1pm, Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
