Brevard – Darlene Ball Patterson, 63, went home to be with the Lord peacefully after a fierce battle with cancer on July 11, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Cecil Ball. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Frances Shook and Wanda Metcalf. Survivors include her mother; Kathleen Golden Ball, daughter; Dedra Connolly of Mauldin, SC, two brothers; Larry and Gary Ball, one sister; Shirley Reiser and grandchildren; Christopher, Jackson and Noah. A Celebration of Life will be held on Darlene's birthday, 2pm, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Crocker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Dunn's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
