Lake Toxaway – Darrell Dean Allen, 47, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at his residence. He was a native of Jackson County and was a longtime resident of Transylvania County. Mr. Allen was the son of the late Virgil Lee Allen and Juanita Owen Allen. Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by his brother Scott Allen, grandfather Gus Allen, and maternal grand-parents, Henry B. Owen and Minnie Owen. Loved ones he leaves behind include his mother, Juanita Allen, grandmother Edna Allen, brother Duane Allen and his wife Brenda of Lake Toxaway and nephews Kevin Allen, Camden Allen and Ben Allen of Lake Toxaway. The graveside service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Mack McCall Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Owen and the Rev. Jackie Hensley officiating.
