Darrell Vernie Owens, age 60, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Mr. Owens was born in Transylvania Co., NC on June 1, 1959 to Rev. Wallace Vernie Owens and the late Annie Bell Owen Owens. In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by a sister. Survivors include his wife, Susie; his father, Rev. Wallace Vernie Owens; six children, eight sisters and two brothers; many grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Charleys Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
