Brevard - David Allen Johnson, 55, passed away on March 16, 2021 after a lengthy illness and a brave battle with cancer. David was born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, to Randolph and Margaret (Peggy) Johnson. The Johnson family moved to East Fork Road near Brevard in 1973. David graduated from Rosman High School in 1983 and became a regular Southerner. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and Atlanta Braves baseball. He also enjoyed cooking and he always kept a garden to supply his kitchen. In 1986, David married Angela Brown, and they enjoyed 35 years of life together. In addition to his wife, Angie, he is survived by his mother, Peggy Johnson; two sisters, Kathie Huggins (Robert) and Debbie Miller; two brothers, Steven Johnson (Karen) and Ken Johnson (Barbara) all of Brevard. David is also survived by two sisters-in law, Shirley Brown (Frank) of Alabama and Debbie Crane (Bobby) of Brevard. Coming from a large family, David had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. David was a wonderful husband, son, brother, and uncle, and he will be truly missed. A Celebration of Life for David will be held at a later date.
