Brevard - David G. Blackburn,84,went home to be with his Lord on Monday, December 26, 2023 after a brief illness.

Dave served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Following his discharge, he took up a career in electrical sign installation. Dave was a master woodworker. He made beautiful furniture and loved sharing his work with others.

He was an active member of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church, where he was involved with the Baptist Men and took many mission trips.

Dave is survived by his wife of 47 years, Beverly; his daughters, Terri O'Neill of Stockton, CA, Cindy Heller (Dave) of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Susan Tiso (Angelo) of Hollywood, FL, and a son, James Mears of Thomaston, GA; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Pisgah Forest Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pisgah Forest Baptist Church.
