Brevard – David Holland Corn, 67, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 5, 2010. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of Louise Mulenex Corn of Pisgah Forest and the late Holland Corn. Mr. Corn was a Mason, a member of Woodmen of the World, and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Phyllis B. Corn; daughter, Rene' Corn Greene and husband Scottie of Pisgah Forest; son David Corn and wife Connie of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Shane Greene and wife Heather of Pisgah Forest, and Olivia and Will Corn of Hendersonville; great-granddaughter, Savannah Greene of Pisgah Forest. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 8, 2010 in the Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Revs. Tommy Owen and Ray Aiken officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
