David "Jason" Johnson was born January 8th, 1982, and passed away December 13th, 2024, after a yearlong battle with colon cancer that metastasized to his brain.

He passed away at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC with his son Brandon holding his hand, his girlfriend of 5 years who never left his side, and his parents close by.

He leaves behind a girlfriend of 5 years Tina Jenkins of Cashiers, NC, who cared for him throughout his illness, his parents Buddy and Debbie Johnson of Cashiers, NC, his son Brandon Johnson of Cashiers, NC, his son Brayden Johnson of Rosman, NC, and his sweet daughter Dixie whom he loved dearly, a sister and her husband, Laura and Ely Carnathan of Lake Toxaway, NC, a sister Leah Woods of Lake Toxaway, NC, and several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins who he also loved deeply.

Jason will be deeply missed and forever loved but never forgotten, until we meet again.
