David "Alan" Mullins, 53, peacefully passed away on September 26th, 2024, in Brevard, North Carolina, surrounded by love.

Born to the late Paul and Linda Mullins of Athens, Tennessee, Alan grew up in Brevard, a place he always called home, even after many years living away. He was also predeceased by his twin sons, Mason and Reece, whom he loved dearly.

Alan is lovingly remembered by his son, Austin Mullins of Raleigh, NC; his sister, Amy Mullins Kelley, and her husband, Bruce; his niece, Katie Kelley Gebb, and her husband, Jonathan; and his nephew, Matthew Kelley, all of Brevard. He also leaves behind many cherished uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, who will forever hold his memory close.

A proud graduate of Appalachian State University, Alan built a successful career in marketing and sales, most recently with SSI Services, Inc., a role he found great joy in. His colleagues and clients will remember him not only for his work, but for his boundless kindness, generosity, and unforgettable sense of humor.

Though life took Alan away from the mountains, his heart remained in Western North Carolina. His love for his hometown was reflected in the warmth and laughter he shared with all who knew him. Alan's kind and generous spirit touched countless lives, and his one-of-a-kind humor will be deeply missed.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate staff at Sapphire Ridge of Brevard for their loving care.

A celebration of Alan's life will be held on October 27, 2024, at the Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home, with visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alan's memory to Samaritan's Purse, to support those affected by Hurricane Helene.
