David Lee Owens Cedar Mtn. – David Lee Owens, 59, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at his residence. A native of Transylvania County he was preceded in death by his father, Eugene T. Owens. Surviving are his mother, Mary Broom Owens, brother, Donald Owens and wife Martha, and sister, Debra Thompson and husband Clyde all of Cedar Mtn.; nephew, Nathan Owens and wife Tysha and their son Rettek of Brevard. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Monday, January 21, 2013 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
