Brevard - David Dale Ramey, 66, passed away Nov 14, 2020 at his home. He was one of eight children born to the late Virgil Alexander Ramey and Myrtle Hall Ramey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Tinsley Ramey and sister, Sandra Eubanks. He was an active member of Brevard Wesleyan Church and loved his church family which did so much for him. David was also a disabled veteran who served his country in the Army from 1973 to 1976 in the 82nd Airborne where he was injured in a night parachute jump. He also worked many years at Ecusta. The family would like to thank those that helped care for David especially after the loss of Roberta in September. He is survived by Deanna Mull and husband Andy, Steve Ramey and wife Glinda, Daniel Ramey and wife Ann, Shannon Lopez and husband Francisco, Donald Ramey and wife Mary, and Dexter Ramey. He also is survived by sister-in-law, Mary Helen Galloway, stepdaughter, Linda Shetters, grandchildren, Nathan Orr and wife Nicci, Rhiannon Queen and husband Allen and great grandchildren, Jaylynn and Jaxson Orr, Parker, Hudson and Emma Queen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brevard Wesleyan Church. Graveside services will be held 1pm, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with the Rev.
