Dealous T. "Slim" Phillips Tuckasegee – Dealous T. "Slim" Phillips, 84, went home to be with the Lord at his home in Jackson County on September 16, 2014. Born May 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Hess and Hattie Mathis Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters; Tilly, Soph, Edith, and Dean, brothers; Jim, Odell and Jake. Slim is survived by his loving wife Berdell Jones Phillips, sons; Larry Phillips and wife Sandy, Robin Phillips and Trent Phillips and wife Theresa, daughter; Tina Grant and husband Eddie, sisters; Juanita, Kathleen and Birdell, brother Kermit, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Friday, September 19, 2014 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
