Brevard – Deborah Lee Brooks, 58, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of Dot Brooks of Brevard and the late Robert Lee Brooks. She was a member of Carr's Hill Baptist Church and was a volunteer at SAFE'S Attic. Surviving in addition to her mother are her son, Paige Watkins of Charlotte; sister, Patti Brooks Madge and husband Randy of Charlotte; nephew, Josh Madge of Charlotte.. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SAFE's Attic, 370 S. Broad St., Brevard, NC 28712 or to Carr's Hill Baptist Church, 2719 Greenville Hwy., Brevard, NC 28712.
