Debra Lynn Hunter McCall Spears, 59, of Lake Toxaway passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Carol Watson Hunter. She was preceded in death by her first husband Dale McCall; aunt, Robin Sorrells and uncle, David Watson. Debra was known as a gentle, tender and kindhearted lady. She adored her family and was a member of Heady Mountain Baptist Church in Cashiers. Although Debra struggled with numerous health issues, she always displayed a good attitude and had an infectious smile that made everyone feel loved. Survivors include her father, Odell Hunter of Salem, SC; husband, Bo Spears of Lake Toxaway; brother, Jeff Hunter of Salem, SC and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30pm. Interment will follow the service in Upper Zachary Cemetery in Cashiers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Baptist Children's Home, PO Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27360.
