Denis Eugene Barton 81, went to be with the Lord Saturday January 19, 2013. He was born September 15, 1931 to the late Elbert Houston Barton and Rosa Capps Barton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Margaret Barton Galloway and his brothers Hobart, D.C., Davis and Avery Barton. Mr. Barton was retired from Dupont of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday January 24, 2013 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Tommy Owen. Interment will follow Catheys Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
