Easley, SC – Dennis Broom, 75, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. A native of Transylvania County, NC, he was the son of the late Kermit Henry Broom and Eva Mae Queen Broom. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dean Broom, and sisters, Frances Parker and Vergie Broom. Mr. Broom was of the Baptist faith and he loved, hunting, fishing, and softball. Surviving are his children, Teresa Kelley of Six Mile, SC; Sandra Dunn and husband Ray of Easley, SC, and Dennis L. Broom and wife Michelle of Pickens, SC; brother, Clifton Broom and wife Betty of Pickens; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 5, 2016 at Woods Cemetery, Balsam Grove, NC. On line condolences may be left at www.moodyconnollyfuneralhome.com.
