Dennis E. Edwards, 82,  of Etowah, NC, passed away September 13, 2023, at Pardee Hospital, Hendersonville, NC.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years,  Maybelle McCall Edwards. He is also survived by two sons, Kevin Edwards of South Korea and Mark Edwards Potter of Maryland; two sisters, Carolyn Owenby and Pecolia Edwards of Pisgah Forest; numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Jay William Edwards and his mother, Mary Goodson Edwards; sisters, Doris Justus and Diane Sumner; brothers, Gerald, Mike and Jackie Edwards.

He was the Safety Supervisor Fluor Daniel at Brevard DuPont.  It was a job he took seriously, keeping everyone safe.

Dennis loved his home and family dearly and was forever at hand when those he loved were in need. He enjoyed tending his lawn and flowers and delighted in nature, especially longing for the approach of every spring. He always had a story to tell and seemed happiest when his family were there to listen.

Visitation will be at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 1 to 2 PM. The funeral service will follow starting at 2 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Mack Simmons officiating.  Entombment will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
