Balsam Grove - Dewey Galloway passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the age of 91.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ethel Cumile Owen Galloway, his parents Cos and Bessie Galloway, his sisters Aileen Owens and Kathleen Hoxit, daughter in law Edith Galloway, grandson Wayne Galloway, and daughter in law Tammy Galloway.

Dewey enjoyed Christmas tree farming with his family, and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved his wife & family, and devoted his life to serving the Lord. He was a member at Woods Memorial Baptist Church, and was an honorable deacon for 54 years.

He is survived by his sons Hayward and wife Eloise, Rex and wife Venelle, Clifford and wife Laura, Gregory, Chris and wife Theresa, Keith and Jessica, daughter Chelena Blythe and husband Bobby, brother Dallas Galloway, sister Jo Ann Connelly, 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the special caregivers that helped take care of our dad the past few years. You have been a blessing with the kindness, care, compassion, laughter, and smiles you brought each day.

Funeral services will be held 2pm, Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Woods Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Moody Connolly Funeral Home.
