Dewey Columbus Sizemore Jr went to his eternal home on August, 8 2026 after a brief illness.

Born April 25, 1937 in Brevard, NC, he was the son of Dewey Columbus Sizemore, Sr. and Emma Mull Sizemore.

Dewey was a devoted husband to Dollie Sizemore for 69 years. His life was a testament to perseverance, commitment, and quiet strength. He taught his sons as much by example as he did by instruction. Dewey was a man who measured a life not by accomplishment but by character.

A graduate of Brevard High School, Dewey retired from Ecusta in 1999. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed the time he spent hunting and fishing with his family.

Dewey is survived by his sons: Timothy Dewey Sizemore (Joyce Sizemore) of Simpsonville, SC and Bryan Alan Sizemore (Jerri Clardy) of Easley SC; grandchildren Tifany Sizemore O'Neal (Chris O'Neal) of Mt Pleasant, SC, AJ Sizemore (Becca Sizemore) and Victoria Sizemore Norman (Nathan Norman) of Brevard NC, Jacob Sizemore (Kayleigh Sizemore) of Williamston SC, Joshua Sizemore (Katie Sizemore) of Easley SC. and Jackson Sizemore of Seneca SC; as well as eight great grandchildren.

Dewey was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Buddy and his two sisters Jo and Anne.

A private family graveside service will be held August 12, 2026 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory at 12PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
