Brevard – Diane Galloway Baynard, 65, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 at The Oaks of Brevard. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Alfred L. and Rosalie Ahrens Galloway and was the wife of the late David Larry Baynard. Mrs. Baynard was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church. She was retired from the pharmacy at CVS, and she was a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving are her daughters, Kristi Brown and husband David of Rosman, and Kim Hall and husband Joe of Brevard; brother, Lee Galloway and wife Nancy Thompson of Waynesville; grandchildren, Matthew and Hope Brown of Rosman, and Aaron, Amber, and Allison Hall of Brevard; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Whitfield officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 pm Sunday at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
