Pisgah Forest - Donald Camp, 84 passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 23, 2024.

He was born in Henderson County, NC on July 13, 1940.  He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Camp and parents Albert & Eula May Camp along with his sister Evelyn and brother Ed.

Don served our country in the National Guard.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and bowling.  He had his own leather workshop where he made customized belts, purses, and wallets.  Don had a gift to gab with an infectious laugh and loved to tell stories.  He loved spending time with this family and had a special nickname for all his grandchildren.  He made an impression on everyone he met and he will be truly missed.

He is survived by his children, Sonja Livingston (Joel) of Columbia SC, Vanessa Roberts (Mike) of Pisgah Forest, NC, Derrick Cantrell (Tina) of Galena, KS, Robin Justus, Marquita Gilbert, & Mary Lynn Camp of Hendersonville, NC.  He had many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  His close cousin Paul McCrary (Deb) of Brevard, NC. and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Mission Church located at 100 Cemetery Road in Pisgah Forest, NC.  All family and friends are welcome to attend.
