Donato (Danny) Giammarino, age 96, passed away peacefully in his home on December 2nd, 2024. Born in New York, Danny dedicated over 40 years to Marine Electric as a machinist supervisor, building lasting relationships through his hard work and dedication.

After retiring, Danny enjoyed Florida's warmth before settling in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, a place he fell in love with after visiting many times. He had many passions, including golf, traveling, making his own bread and pasta, and giving back to the Brevard community. He and his wife, Janice, volunteered weekly at the Bread of Life Food Pantry, sharing their compassion for those in need.

Known for his vibrant personality and zest for life, Danny was a true Italian at heart. He took great pride in bringing family and friends together over delicious meals and cherished traditions.

Above all, he treasured time with his beloved family, offering unwavering love and encouragement, always wanting the best for his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who consistently saw the best in those he cared for. Danny's legacy is one of love, kindness, and enduring faith, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Giammarino; his three children, Vito (Linda) Giammarino, Bettyann (Frankie) D'Anna, and Michelle Potts; his five grandchildren, Cassianne Cioffoletti, Carissa Lopicholo, Christopher D'Anna, Derek (Sara) D'Anna, and Danielle (Ethan) Shetters; as well as many cousins and great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Brian Berg Dr, Brevard, NC 28712, on December 14th, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Danny's memory to either the Bread of Life Food Pantry or Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Brevard, reflecting his dedication to service and faith.

Danny's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and prayers during this difficult time. May he rest in eternal peace.
