Rosman – Donna Vee Daves, 86, of Rosman, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Mrs. Daves was a lifelong resident of Transylvania County and was the daughter of the late Julius Sylvester and Dassie Stamey Owens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, S. T. Owen, and two sisters-in-law, Pauline Owen and Pauline McCall. She attended Living Hope Church of God and was very devout in her faith. Mrs. Daves spent most of her earlier years as a homemaker. Later in life she worked as a nursing assistant. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Edgar Daves; one daughter, Louise Daves of Rosman; one sister, Louella Fields of Brevard; brothers, J. D. Owens and wife Gladys of Brevard, and Leo Owens of Hendersonville; a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Johnson officiating.
