Donna Mae Knowles Parker, 90 years young and a resident of Brevard, passed away peacefully at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC on July 24, 2017. Donna was the daughter of Allen C. and Florence Seymour Knowles, and the sister of the late Donald R. Knowles of Indianapolis, IN. She is survived by sister-in-law, Joy Knowles, nieces Nora Cordrey (Lee) of Denver, CO., Dona Spicer (Dick) of Orlando, FL., Lora Jones of McCordsville, IN., and nephew Donald R. Knowles II (Jennifer) of West Lafayette, IN. She is also survived by 9 great nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death in 2003 by her beloved husband, Lawrence John Parker of Chicago, IL. In spite of her diminutive size, Donna lived large. A celebration of her life will be held at Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM.
