Doris Davis Cantrell, 68, of Brevard went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by Ewart General Davis (Father), Annie Rea S Fleming (Mother), as well as her brother Michael. For those who knew Doris well, you know she loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren more than anything. Respected for her genuine determination and grit, she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She attended Crossroads Baptist Church in Brevard and is a child of God. Left to cherish Doris' memory is her husband of 51 years, Stanley Cantrell; their daughter Christy Rogers (Ben); their sons Paul Cantrell (Amanda) and Thomas Cantrell (Cynthia); their grandsons Matthew Galloway (Sara Paige) and Wyatt Cantrell; and great-granddaughters, Charley and Chesnee Galloway. Nanny Doris, you will be missed. She is also survived by her brother, Danny Davis (Dianne) and her sister, Dean Duncan and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 3pm Monday, December 13 2021, at Big Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jack Patterson officiating.
