Doris Marie Lane Jones Brevard - Doris Marie Lane Jones, 70, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday December 20, 2013. Doris was born in Faubush, Kentucky. She was a daughter to the late Linville and Velna Lane of Marion Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Sue Lane, her sister Imogene Lane Buchanan and her brother Lawrence Lane. Doris worked in the health care field for many years and was a homemaker as well. She was a master craftsman and enjoyed making things for her family and friends. She also collected hummingbirds, enjoyed Blue Grass music and loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Doris is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Henry Paul Jones of Brevard. She is also survived by her sisters Bernice Nussbaum of Dalton, Ohio and Sharon Lane of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, her brothers Lewis Lane of Benton, Ohio and Keith Lane of Marion, Ohio. She is survived by three children, her daughter and son-in-law Lora and Philip McIntosh of Brevard, NC, her son and daughter-in-law Andrew Wayne and Tracy Jones of Belmont, NC and her son and daughter-in-law Paul Duane and Sandy Jones of Pisgah Forest, NC. She is survived by nine grandchildren, Jeremy Hawkins, Timothy Jones, Melissa Jones Brown, Loran Wilson Nalley, Patrick Jones, Cory Wilson, Devon McIntosh, Danielle McIntosh, Andrea Brock and four great grandchildren Jaylen, Jordyn and Mailee Brown and Eastyn Elizabeth Nalley. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm on Sunday at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard NC. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral home with Rev. James Jones and Rev. Randy Stamey officiating. A graveside service will follow at Turkey Creek Cemetery in Pisgah Forest, NC.
