Edgar VanCourt Reinold Jr., age 88, of Brevard died June 25, 2010. He was born April 3, 1922 in Yonkers NY to the late Edgar VanCourt Reinhold Sr. and Ruth Kellogg Reinhold. Prior to his move to Connestee Falls he lived many years in Scarsdale, NY, Chappaqua, NY and Sylvania, Ohio. Ed served three years in the U.S. Army during WWII with the Combat Engineer Unit of the 45th Div of the Seventh and Fifth Armies. He participated in operations in Sicily, Italy, France, Germany and Insbrook Austria. Amphibious landings were on the beaches of Victoria , Siciliy, Selerno Italy and the South of France. He retired after thirty five years in the Corporate Customer Relations and Quality Control for the cup and container business with the Lily Tulip Cup Corp in New York and Owens-Illinois-Lily Division in Toledo Oh., Survivors include his wife of 63 years Jean Ann Bashore Reinhold of the home, one son; Dr. Robert Reinhold and his wife Amy of Troy Ohio, one daughter; Susan Bachman and her husband Jim of Middletown Md, three sisters Betty Terhune, Dottie Smith and Ruth Byar and one grandson Brian Bachman. Memorial services will be held Saturday July 10, 2010 at 11:00am at Faith Memorial Chapel conducted by Celebrant Gatha Dickson. Following the service the family will gather for a reception at Connestee Falls Club House.
