Brevard – Edith Wood Green, 83, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Elizabeth House, Flat Rock, NC. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Lucille Wood. Mrs. Green was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Fred Earl Green; daughter, Gail Brown; sons, Glenn McCall and Danny McCall; step-daughter, Dora Ann Lane; brothers, Verlin Wood and wife Ollie Mae, and James Wood and wife Lola; grandchildren, Jennifer, Pamela, April, Matt, Whitney, Jaden, and Ezra; step-grandchildren, Timothy and Ashley; 8 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 11, 2010 in the Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Wood Cemetery.
