Rosman -Edward Galloway, 93, passed away unexpectedly May 9, 2021. Born August 13, 1927, he was the son of the late Monroe and Ola Galloway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray, David, Ishmael and Joe Galloway, sisters, Lucille Chapman, Glenda Chapman and Victoria Childree. Mr. Galloway was employed by Gloucester Lumber Company, American Thread, Ecusta and Transylvania County Schools. He was a very hardworking man who loved to stay busy. Edward was a devoted husband and loving father. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and gardening. He always blessed others with the wealth of his garden. Mr. Galloway served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Gladys Chapman Galloway, two daughters, Laverne Hames and Treva Pressley, four sisters, Frances Ashe, Luella Owen, Annette Bradley and Karen Gaines, three grandchildren, Caleb Pressley, Adrienne Honeycutt and Bethany Beddingfield and seven great grandchildren, Jaxon, Brantley, Camden, Noah, Timothy, Andrew and Kathy.
