Brevard – Eileen McCrary Summey, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 3, 2015. She was born in Easley, SC to the late Ellison K. and Lula Heath McCrary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Van Summey; brothers; Jack and Ellison McCrary, sisters; Louella Merrill, Helen Channell and Thalia Queen. Mrs. Summey was a member of Glady Branch Baptist Church. Surviving are her son; David Summey and wife Margaret of Arden, daughter; Lois Coward and husband Mark of Lynchburg, VA, brothers John Allen McCrary of Pisgah Forest and Gene McCrary of Brevard, sister; Joanne Black of Brevard and three grandchildren; Taylor, Molly and Nick. A Graveside service will be held 11am, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends beginning at 10am at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
